The Yupaha Kongaree Nation honors its ancestral ties to the original seafaring peoples migrations spanned vast oceans long before colonial borders were imposed/ Among these sacred lineages are connections to the Maori - the Indigenous people of Aotearoa (New Zealand) - whose ancestors are renowned for their mastery of celestial navigation, ocean voyaging, and land stewardship.
